Felicity is an English actress who became famous for her portrayal of Jane Hawking, the protagonist of The Theory of Everything. Jones started acting at age of 12 and appeared in many plays, TV shows and films. Her professional career began in the television show The Treasure Seekers. She then played Ethel Hallow in The Worst Witch followed by the sequel Weirdsister college. Her first feature film Flashbacks of a Fool she played Young Ruth and went on to be featured in numerous films. In films such as The Invisible Woman or The Amazing Spider-Man 2 the actress was a hit for her performance. The role she played as the wife in The Theory of Everything was what earned her her first Oscar nomination. Jones' portrayal as Stephen Hawking's wife in this biopic, which was based on the life of Stephen Hawking, was widely acclaimed by both critics and the public. In the following film, she was Inferno an action film starring Tom Hanks. It was the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles awarded Jones as the British Artist of the Year in 2016 for her remarkable performance and contribution to film.
