Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and is the only person to be recognized with 10/10 scores in an Olympic performance. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics coach when she was six years old. Comaneci competed for the first time in the 1969 national junior championships, placing 13th. Following that, she was crowned champion. The first time she competed in an international competition that was an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she was awarded three gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975, she was crowned all-around Junior Champion. When she made her first senior competition in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champion who won four gold medals and one silver. She was the first female ever to successfully perform the backwards double salto when dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey of Carol Wayne into the realm of entertainment started when she was a teenager. Along with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol's first job was in entertainment as a teenager.
