Ashley Wagner was given birth to on the 16th of May, 1991, in Heidelberg. Ashley spent much of her early teenage years with women who were more mature that she was. She felt that they had more maturity and looked better. Ashley admits to being a "hot messy" when she was an teen. Ashley's mother put her into modelling classes to ensure she could gain self-confidence. Ashley started to seriously consider a career as a model. When she was told that she was too short to model, Ashley considered becoming a lawyer or obtaining a degree in psychology.
